Biography: "Heba khorchid", an egyptian painter is the spouse of the deputy counsul general in NY. Together they 've been to Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Malaysia, before settling in NY for the last 3 years. Each stop has been marked with a dramatic event that made her rediscover and appreciate life time again. |
| Heba's journey with painting started at the very young age of four. By eight, she had done a remarke of one of Renoir's well known paintings. Her painting skills were nurtured under her mother who made it her life to raise "Heba" and her older sister after Heba's father had passed away when she was only 10 years old. Heba's guide in painting is a long and deeply rooted Egyptian heritage. Frequent travel and long stays away from Egypt could only focus her "Egyptianality". With only her feelings to follow, Heba has not been restricted to one style of painting, her paintings include still life, portraits, landscape and sometimes abstracts, mostly drawn from the rich Egyptian life. Heba has combined her egyptian culture with formal french education all the way through college. Her work is a truly appreciative expression of life. |
